2011 District 55 Majors TOC Champions

Congratulations to RNLL Majors Giants!

Your RNLL Giants captured the District 55 TOC Championship last night with a 5-1 win over Aliso Viejo Yankees.

Highlights of the game:

The Giants took a 2 run lead in the bottom of the first after Ryan Brady led off with an infield hit and Hayden Burnight followed with a double that bounced off the left field fence to score Ryan.  Hayden later came around to score.

In the second inning the Giants tallied 3 more runs to widen the gap to 5-0, capitalizing on a Reagan Lundeen RBI single and several walks, and a timely wild pitch that scored Burnight from 3rd and Jordan Matthews raced all the way around from second to score on the play. 

The Giants supported Jordan's complete game with great defense, including several good plays by Brady at SS.  Jordan was on top of his game and had plenty in the tank to shut down the AV offense, limiting them to a only a few hits, striking out 7 and dominating with a great breaking ball and lively fastball.
