Division Breakdown

All Little League players are classified by "league age," defined to be the age of the player as of April 30 of current year (Spring Ball - i.e., April 30, 2012). The following table summarizes the divisional age requirements for the spring program:

Single A 7 & 8
Double AA 8, 9, 10 & 11
Triple AAA 9. 10, 11 & 12

Special notes:
1. Six year olds cannot play Rookie unless they have played Little League T Ball.
2. All players 9 years and above must attend tryouts in January. All 8 year olds interested in playing in the AA division must also tryout.
3. The League Presdent may approve exceptions based on special circumstances.

The Rookie program is strictly coach-pitch using a safety ball (soft cover). The Single A season is split, beginning with coaches pitching and ending the season with kid pitch. The AA division is strictly kid pitch, but runners are not allowed to steal home. For more information on local rules, please refer to the RNLL local rules.

Our winter ball program is designed to help prepare players for the following season - especially those who will likely "play up" one level. League age is defined as the players age a year out, i.e., April 30 of the following year. Individual managers can also use their discretion in forming teams.

Registration Process

All players must register for each spring and fall season. If you are not currently on the mailing list, have a new address, or have recently moved into the area, please be sure to first check the RNLL Boundaries to determine whether you are within the RNLL boundaries or the LNLL boundaries. All players must provide proof of residence (e.g., a utility bill) at registration. You can Request Email Updates and notifications and RNLL will keep you informed of major events!

New players must also provide a proof of birth - namely, a certified Birth Certificate issued by the county (state), or a passport or Green Card with date of birth. Unacceptable proof of age include the following: hospital certificate, birth registration, Baptism certificate, or notarized copies. Returning players or siblings of returning players who move out of the RNLL boundaries, will likely be allowed to continue playing in RNLL - those players are urged to consult the Player Agent for clarification of the rule.
