Mon 2010.06.10 – Majors Padres – Pamer Hits The Long Ball in TOC!   
Robert Pamer launched a ball over the centerfield fence that travelled 250 feet high and 250 deep for his first LL career home run.  Facing the Titans from Central Irvine, Robert started the Padres on a string of hits that led to a 15-1 victory in the second round of TOC.  Robert always has something fun to say, but in this case, he let his bat do the talking.  Congratulations Robert!
     
Mon 2010.06.07 – Majors Padres – Justin Palucki Homers In TOC Game
In the first round of TOC, Justin Palucki lead the Padres to a 15-6 win over the Braves from Northwood Little League.  Justin was the first batter in the top of the fourth inning.  He hit a line drive over the center field fence for his 1st career Little League home run.  After starting off the Padre rally, Justin batted a second time in the same inning hitting another line drive in the left center gap driving in 2 more runs.  Justin was 4-4 and each ball he hit was CRUSHed.
     
Sat 2010.06.05 – AA Yankees– Lucas Blow Hits Grand Slam 15 ft Above the 160 ft Fence
Lucas Blow with the AA Yankees hits a Grand Slam Home Run in the 4th Inning in the 3rd Place Game against the Dodgers. Lucas who had hit a 3 run Home Run earlier in the playoffs, wanted to go out with a bang. With the score 7 to 3 favor of the Yankees, Lucas went up to bat and with a 3-1 count, hit a hard line drive shot over dead center field clearing the fence by 15 ft.! Congratulation Lucas for giving the Yankees a great way to end the year.
     
     
     
     
Mon 2010.05.25 – AAA Yankees – Yankees Top Red Sox 3-0 on 2 Hit Shutout by Hayden Burnight
Hayden Burnight tossed a 57 pitch complete game shutout against the regular season champ Red Sox to move the AAA Yankees into the Championship game with a 3-0 victory.  The Yankees supported Hayden with great defense all game long.  Hayden struck out 8 Red Sox, gave up only 2 hits and walked none while facing only 19 batters in 6 innings.  He also helped his cause by singling in the Yankees' first run.  Both teams played a great game, finishing the contest in 1 hour and 5 minutes!  Congratulations to the Yankees and to Hayden. 
     
Mon 2010.05.24 – Majors Padres – Ryan pitches a 1-hit complete game as the Padres qualify for the Championship/TOC

In an elimination game Ryan Brady pitched the Padres to a victory earning them an opportunity in the League Championship game and a birth into TOC.  He went all six innings giving up 1 hit, no walks, no earned runs.  His teammates played great defense allowing Ryan to finish the game in 63 pitches.  Great game Ryan!

     
2010.05.22 - Majors Angels - "T-Wick" Does It Again!

Thomas Wick lead the Angels to an 11-0 shutout in their second playoff game.  Thomas did it with his arm by hurling a 4 inning shutout and with his bat as he added two runs with the first home run of his career—a blast well over the center field wall.  Way to go Thomas!

     
Wed 2010.05.19 - Majors Dodgers - Ryne Russo Hits HR#2 During Playoffs
In a playoff game between the Dodgers and the Red Sox, Ryne Russo puts the Dodgers on the scoreboard early in the first inning with a two-run shot deep over left center. His second home run of the season. Congrats Ryne!
     
Tues, 2010.05.18 – Majors Padres – Jack Schubert lifts his team with Home Run #6!
In the second round of the playoffs, Jack was facing the hard throwing pitcher from the As.  It was the bottom of the 1st inning and the Padres had a runner in scoring position.  Jack got a fastball over the plate and drove it deep over the wall in Center Field for his 6th home run of the season.  The 2 run poke set the tone for the remainder of the game as the Padres played well enough to win and advance to the next round.  Jack is a great hitter and team leader.  Congratulations on a clutch hit!
     
Mon 2010.05.17 - Majors Angels - Thomas Leads on Defense, Vinny Leads on Offense

Thomas Wick had his stuff working tonight as he pitched a 1 hit complete game shutout in the playoffs.  Vinny Verruto led off the third by hitting his 3rd homerun of the season well over the left center wall.  Vinny helped the offensively charged Angels score 10 runs tonight in their first playoff game.  Way to go Thomas and Vinny!

     
Sat 2010.05.15 - Majors Red Sox - Jacob Tolman Hits First HR in Playoffs
Jacob Tolman hit his 1st home run of the season in an exciting game against the Yankees. Jacob led off the second inning with a tremendous solo shot over the left center field fence to break a 3-3 tie enroute to come from behind 7-6 redsox win. Congrats Jacob on your first home run!
     
Saturday 2010.05.15 - Majors Dodgers - Spencer Golanka Hits Solo HR In Playoffs
The Dodgers were down 4-0 against the Padres in the first round of the playoffs when Spencer Golanka steps to the plate in the top of the 4th inning and hits a leadoff HR to get things going for the Dodgers. Congratulations Spencer on your first HR!
 
Wednesday 2010.05.12 - AA Cubs - Davinni's 3rd HR leads AA Cubs to Victory

In a close game with the Athletics' with 1 out and 1 runner on base in the top of the 3rd inning,  Michael Davinni of the Cubs stepped up and crushed a deep shot high over the trees in left field for his 3rd Home Run of the season to lead the Cubs to an exciting 10-6 victory over the Athletics.  Way to go Michael!

 
Saturday 2010.05.08 – Majors Padres – Ryan Brady Pitches a Complete Game In Padres Victory!
Ryan had Red Sox batters off balance much of the game by hitting his location spots with fastballs and off-speed pitches. With the help of a strong defense behind him, Ryan gave up hit number 1 late in the 4th inning. It was a very close game until the top of the 6th. Ryan finished the 6 inning complete game in 82 pitches striking out 6 batters, walking 1 and allowing 1 earned run. Congratulations - nice game Ryan!
     
Tuesday 2010.05.05 – Majors Dodgers Ryne Russo Rips Rocket Over the Trees and Into the Creek
The Dodgers were down 4-0 when Ryne launched a towering shot over the little Green Monster to ignite an eleven (11) run inning against the Red Sox. This two run HR was his first of the season. Congratulations Ryne!
 
Tuesday 2010.05.04 – Majors Angels – Vinny Verruto Hits HR #2

Vinny does it again!  His 2 run homerun in the first inning got the Angels going.  He later came into the game to pitch and helped the Angels clinch first place with a 7 to 6 victory over the Yankees.  Way to go Vinny!

 
Wednesday 2010.03.31 – Majors Padres – Charlie Wehan goes YARD!

In the top of the 4th inning Charlie led off with a solo home run (his 1st career) that cleared the left field Green Monster.  He took a 0-1 fastball deep to start off a 5 run inning for the Padres.  Charlie has amazing speed, but this time he was able to round the bases enjoying high fives from his third base coach and teammates at home plate. Congratulations Charlie!

   
Saturday 2010.05.01 - AA Cubs Jack Miner Hits Game Winner

In a tight battle the with the D'Backs the Cubs refused to quit. Down 5 runs in the 1st inning the Cubs came back to tie it in the top of the 2nd inning 5-5.  The D'Backs regain the lead in the bottom of 3rd inning scoring another 5 runs.  Once again the Cubs battle back in the top of the 4th to score 5 runs of their own to tie the game 10-10.  Going into the top of the 5th and final inning with the game tied Jack Miner steps up to the plate and with a 1-0 count he launches what turns out to be a game winning solo homerun over the trees in left field.  The Cubs hold on to the 1 run lead giving up 0 runs in the bottom of the 5th to win.

   
Saturday 2010.05.01 - Majors Angels Vinny Verruto Hits HR to Lift Angels over Padres
Vinny Verruto is no stranger to the long ball.  He got his first of the year hitting a two run blast to lift the Angels over the Padres.  Congratulations Vinny!
 
Friday 2010.04.30 - Majors Dodgers Battery Energizes Complete Game Victory Against Angels
Riley Hunner pitches a 5 inning complete game as the Dodgers bats explode with 12 hits against the Angels. Backed up by some great defensive plays, the Dodgers once again continue their momentum toward the playoffs. Another great team effort Dodgers!
 
2010.04.27 - Majors Angels Brian Workman Hits HR

Brian Workman hits one high and deep into the dark sky over the Green Monster for his first career home run.  Brian is a pleasure to have on a team as he is always smiling – on this night his smile was even bigger.  Congratulations Brian!

 
Saturday, Apr 26 - Majors Dodgers Swonk and Strelow Combine for a No Hitter
Grant Swonk and Gordon Strelow combine to pitch a no hitter for a 6-0 shutout win against the Padres. Both teams had no hitters going into the 4th inning until the Dodger's bats came alive. Truly a team effort, they played nearly flawless defense with an amazing diving catch by CF Matthew Margolin to save the no hitter. Great team effort Dodgers!
 
Saturday, Apr 17 - AAA Cubs Kaler Pawling - It's out of here!

In a battle for first place the Red Sox and Cubs squared off. The Red Sox took a early 5-0 lead in the top of the first. With one out and a man on first, Kaler Pawling came to the plate, with a 3-1 count, Kaler hit the ball deep over the left field fence for his first ever home run. The Cubs fell short in a great battle 8-7.

 
Tuesday, Apr 13 - AA D'backs Jake "the beast" Conerty Delivers Towering Home Run
In the first Inning, Jake "The beast" Conerty, steps up to the plate against the undefeated Pirates and delivers a towing shot to left center, over the fence and onto the batting cage for his first home run of the season. Jake gets the D'backs off to a fast start and on their way to victory.
     
Saturday, Mar 20 - Amazing Power Surge Supplied by the Cubs Jack Miner with HR #1 and Michael Davinni with HR#2
In a tight seesaw battle between the Cubs and Angels, the Cubs Jack Miner began the power surge in the 2nd inning when he hit a bullet into the trees over the left field fence for his first home run of the year, a solo shot, giving the Cubs an early lead.  Then, in the 3rd inning with the score tied 5 to 5 and a runner on first, Michael Davinni came up to bat and crushed a pitch high into the trees over the centerfield fence for his 2nd Homerun of the season, a 2-run blast.  What an exciting game and display of power by these two boys!  Way to go Jack and Michael.
Wednesday Mar 17, 2010 - Majors Yankees - Ollie and Timmy Deliver the Big Hits for the Yankees

On Wed. March 17th, the Majors Yankees played against the Majors Dodgers.   Timmy Nelson "Hits for the Cycle” where he batted four times Hitting: a single, double, triple and an inside the park home run.   Huge accomplishment.

In the same game Oliver Marlowe hit his 1st home run of the season clearing the 220 ft. fence in center field.

Friday, Mar 5, 2010 – Majors Padres – Jack Schubert hits Grand Slam for HR #3


Unbelievable......3 HOME RUNS in 3 GAMES!!  And, this one in the bottom of the 5th inning was a Grand Salami.  Congratulations Jack, you are a fun player to watch!  

As you can see, Jack’s teammates had a good time celebrating number 3 with him after the game.  
Wed, Mar 3, 2010 – Majors Padres – Schubert hits Home Run #2      


In the 4th inning of a tight game Jack Schubert slammed his second home run of the season.  The 2-run shot was a line drive that hit the top of the scoreboard with full force.   Schubert hit it so hard he may have broken the scoreboard!  Jack is proving to be a force with the bat, but he also pitched the 5th inning striking out all three batters.  Great job Jack!
 
Tuesday, Feb 23, 2010 – Majors Padres – Schubert Homers on Opening Day      


Jack Schubert stepped to the plate in the 1st inning and mashed a fast ball high over 220ft sign in Centerfield.  It was a solo home run hit off one of the leagues toughest pitchers.    What a great way to start the Majors season. Congratulations Jack!
Tuesday, Feb 25, 2010 - AA Cubs - Davinni Dings Scoreboard

In their first game of the season against the Angels, leading off in the bottom of the 5th inning, the Cubs Michael Davinni steps up and crushes a line shot deep over the left-center field fence for a solo home run hitting the scoreboard to extend the Cubs lead to 6-1.  What an exciting start to the season! Way to go Michael!
